Silicon Engines manufactures a line of data communications interface modules. These products allow you to connect a personal computer to an automotive serial communications port. These modules are most often used by design engineers when developing an automotive electronic control unit, and by test engineers in production testing.

Arc Fault Circuit Breaker Tester

Silicon Engines has developed an Arc Fault Circuit Breaker Tester that is available for licensing by a qualified electrical tester marketing organization. The first compact AFCI tester, the transmitter can be marketed as a standalone receptacle tester for checking correct wiring, GFCI breakers, and AFCI breakers. Also can be marketed with a matching handheld receiver as a combination product. The user scans the receiver over a circuit breaker panel to determine which breaker feeds the receptacle being tested.

Programming adapters

Silicon Engines has introduced a line of Programming Adapters for Motorola Nitron™ microcontrollers — the MC68HC908 Q series. Intended for use with MON-08 tools, these adapters allow you to program Q series MCUs in DIP-8, DIP-16, SOIC-8, SOIC-16, and TSSOP-16 packages.
